Zoe Saldana
Avatar star Zoe Saldana chose a purple Givenchy gown, but look was overwhelming in her petite frame. The piece looked like it should have been two different dresses. The sequinced bodice was beautiful and elegant, however the giant poof balls on the bottom half of the dress look like something more appropriate for home decor.

Vera Farmiga
Vera Farmiga has walked the red carpet in white gowns throughout most of the past year, so the berry coloured Marchesa gown was a great change. However, the ruffles on the gown were overwhelming.

Diane Kruger
German actress Diane Kruger’s black and cream Chanel gown would have been perfect if it wasn’t for the middle section. The texturized section was simply unflattering.

Nicole Richie
The multi-coloured, beaded Reem Acra dress worn by Nicole Richie looked to heavy on her frame. Paired with her tight bun it took away from her youthfulness.

Faith Hill
Faith Hill walked the red carpet in a black lace dress by Roberto Cavalli. The lace was in the wrong places, and the dress had an overall gothic feel.

Virginia Madsen
Virginal Madsen’s navy and black Kevan Hall gown just had too much going on. The chiffon, ribbons and lace made for too much frill on one dress.

Miley Cyrus
The champagne-colored strapless gown by designer Jenny Packham wasn’t quite age appropriate for Miley Cyrus at 17 years old. Her gown had a great classic Hollywood feel to it, which she may be able to pull off better in a few years.

Sarah Jessica Parker
Sarah Jessica Parker missed the mark this time with her gold Chanel Couture. It’s lack of shape was very unflattering considering the great shape she should have been showing off.

Charlize Theron
Presenter Charlize Theron chose to wear a lilac Dior gown to this year’s Academy Awards. Unfortunately the wrap-around rose bustier was more awkward than delicate. Though the silhouette looked great on her fabulous figure, it was hard to get past the roses on her chest.

Maggie Gyllenhaal
Oscar nominee Maggie Gyllenhaal’s black and blue strapless dress by Dries Van Noten wasn’t quite red carpet worthy. The colour and style suited her well, but the flowery print looked like it might have been better suited for the beach.
