1. The first thing to think of when attending a beach wedding is the time of day. Afternoon weddings can be very warm while evening weddings can get surprisingly cool, even in the summer. A breathable fabric like cotton or linen is a good replacement for wool or polyester. A bolero or wrap is good to have on hand if the weather cools down in the evening.
2. The Coastal winds are sure to cause a wardrobe malfunction or two. Avoid short dresses or dresses made of extra light fabric. Hiding a tie-clip on the hem of a light dress can prevent embarrassment.
3. The same day/evening color rules apply but try to break out of the box with a rich purple dress instead of the predictable black.
4. Mid-length dresses are always a safe choice when on the beach. Long hems will drag in the sand and get dirty. Pick a sexy pair of sandals and show off those legs instead!
5. And as always, leave white to the bride! Pick a fun vibrant color for the festive occasion.
